Alan Coady CFA, FCIA, CAIA

Alan supports Addenda Capital’s business development activities, contributing to the creation and implementation of investment products and client-focused initiatives. In this capacity, he collaborates closely with clients and internal teams to develop innovative solutions tailored to the evolving needs of institutional clients.

Before joining Addenda Capital in 2022, Alan held increasingly senior leadership roles in actuarial finance and financial risk management at a major international insurance company. He has also worked for a major global asset owner, holding positions in fund services and at global investment banks earlier in his career. This has given him broad experience across risk management, actuarial finance and trading systems.

Alan holds a Master of Business Administration and a Master’s degree in Finance from the London Business School, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Electronic Engineering from University College Dublin. He is a Fellow of both the Canadian Institute of Actuaries and the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries in the United Kingdom. Alan is also a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and a Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA).

In addition to his professional responsibilities, Alan is an active volunteer in the investment and actuarial communities. He serves on the editorial committee of The Analyst, CFA Toronto’s magazine, and has contributed articles to the publication. He is also a member of the Canadian Institute of Actuaries’ Education Committee.
