Richard Beaulieu, CFA
Vice-President & Senior Economist

Richard is responsible for monitoring and analyzing economic developments. In partnership with Addenda Capital’s Executive Vice-President and Chief Economic Strategist, he develops the economic scenarios that underpin the Firm’s investment strategies.

  • National Bank Trust: Vice-President, Investment Strategy (2006-2009)
  • Natcan Investment Management: Senior Vice-President, Client Services and Business Development (1999-2005)
  • Laurentian Bank of Canada: various functions (1987-1998), including President of its mutual funds subsidiary, Vice-President Trust, Private Banking and Funds Management, Vice-President Strategic Development, Chief Economist and Vice-President and Treasurer
  • Bank of Canada: various positions in particular as member of the team responsible for market monitoring and open market operations (1976-1983)
Education:
  • Graduate Studies in Economics, with a specialization in Macroeconomics, Monetary Theory and International Trade from Queen’s University 
  • Bachelor of Commerce degree with a major in Finance from Université Laval 
  • Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA®) designation
